The Jordan Valley Wall and the Annexation Trench

In 1968 the Israeli Occupation Forces built a wall extending along the length of the Jordan river annexing and isolating a swathe of land up to 3km from the river.

The land isolated by this wall is out of bounds to Palestinians but much of it is cultivated by settlers from nearby Israeli colonies.

In addition a system of trenches bar Palestinians from their farmland along the Western Side of the valley.
