Brighton-Tubas Region Friendship and Solidarity Group

Seventeen people from Brighton have just returned from a delegation to the Tubas region of Palestine.

Itinery:

Tour of the West Bank

We will travel to Jerusalem, meet with delegations from other areas in the UK, and spend about 5 days in the West Bank on a tour organised by the Palestine Twinning Committee. This will include meeting with many Palestinian organisations, seeing the Wall, checkpoints, houses that have been demolished and communities under attack from Israeli settlers.

Palestine/UK Twinning Network Conference

We will then attend a one day conference of the Palestine UK Twinning Network. This gives us the opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas.

Tubas and the Jordan Valley

Those of us on the Brighton delegation will then spend several days visiting Tubas town and region, including the Jordan Valley. We will stay with local families, meet with members of the groups listed overleaf (and possibly others), learn about their town and community, and discuss what we can do when we come back to the UK.

If you have previously been to Palestine you may choose to come on just part of the delegation.
